umstead park

we went for a quick hike this weekend in umstead park.  it's a pretty nice state park halfway between durham and raleigh, so it's only a 15 minute drive to a trailhead.  laura went with tracey last weekend and said it was pretty crazy (lots of people with dogs), but i guess we went early enough to only see a few people.  of course bruno wanted to say hi to all the dogs, and now he's getting more vocal about it.  and he was also pulling like a mule.  i think he must have some alaskan husky in him -- you chain him up and he's just a pulling machine.  at least our new leash has a bungee, and you can whip him right back to you (as in photo #2... )
